UCT Libraries will be hosting an Author Workshop by Emerald Group Publishing who will be sharing downloadtheir guide to getting published with students and faculty at UCT. The workshop will provide participants with information on:

  • How to get started
  • How to target your work more effectively
  • The essentials of a research paper
  • What editors and reviewers actually look for
  • How to peer-review your own work
  • The secrets of revision

With the annual UCT Libraries Research Week at hand, the library is gearing up for the influx of postgraduate researchers from across the university. On Monday 13 April, Emerald publishing will kick off Research Week with an author workshop. The workshop will introduce researchers to a series of academic guidelines touching on research methodologies, stylistic resources and criteria required by international journals for publishing.
